Great that mate,Ray Veall got one too a couple of months ago
I assume the criteria was vastly different then?Played 7 / 42. God knows why Veall didn't get one ... played about 30 / 42.
Different times mate, look how hard it was to get an England cap back then(think Howard Kendall!!)nowadays they're handed out like confettiI assume the criteria was vastly different then?
I mean, Chelsea squad players not fit to lace Temple's boots will have one these days.
hard workers are still overlooked like osman a few seasons back and drinkwater at the momentDifferent times mate, look how hard it was to get an England cap back then(think Howard Kendall!!)nowadays they're handed out like confetti
I always thought so too.As far as I'm concerned if you've been on the pitch for one minute of one game you have contributed. Same goes in cup games
Great news, never realised he never had one ...... will always be a legend to me for 66 and watching on a black and white tv in desperation as we went 2-0 down, the rest of course is history including Derek Temple's winner .
I think Ray Veall only played about thirteen , Johnny Morrisey played most of that season about twenty three matches.Played 7 / 42. God knows why Veall didn't get one ... played about 30 / 42.
But he was in my Subbuteo team. An outrage. 9 games in the season, if Wikipedia is to be believed.Roger Kenyon never got one in 1969/70 title either!
