Derby - Win, Lose or Draw ?

Well that means **** ALL too, I could post you 10 stats that would suggest Moyes has been brilliant for Everton, and should I do that what would that mean, that I'm right and he is wrong? no anti Moyes would accept that but FFS in my book anyone who would want Everton without Moyes is wong and they can never suggest someone who would have done an equal job or better in the last 10 years or indeed the furture. If stats are your thing then Im sure there are 10 good ones that prove how good moyes is

But the thread is about the Derby. If you can provide 10 good stats about David Moyes' record in the Derby then be my guest.

Otherwise, all I can see is Dave pointing out the glaringly obvious - Moyes has been sh** in derbies. Pure, unadulterated dogs*** in fact. He's 100% correct on that.

He may be overly negative about Moyes on other issues but you've sort of chosen the wrong thread to have a go at him in!!!

It doesnt sum it up I supported everton under Kendall (3rd time) Walker, Royle, Watson, Smith and now Moyes and I will support Everton when the next Manager takes over. But at the moment there are not many managers in world football I would want and certainly none that I know of who we could get. He has been amazing for Everton in ralative terms and I know of noone who could of done better. I wonder how many of the MOYES haters wantED Owen Coyle, well he isnt fit to lace Moyes's training boots.

He hasn't won a trophy, he hasn't won a game at anfield, he hasn't won a game at old trafford, he hasn't finished higher in the league than 4th, he's only taken us to one cup final.

Has he done a decent job, yeah by and large he has. And as a reward for that he is one of the best paid and best treated managers in the world who has a job security that 99% of his peers would kill for despite having won nothing. We're fortunate to have had him but he is far far more fortunate to have had us.

And if there's no manager in the world who with a club like everton (the fourth biggest in the country) could do better than no trophies and an average finishing position of 7th then football is finished as a sport and we might as well pack up and go home.

I always think our midfield disappears in derbies, leaving the defence too much to do. Also, Gerrard always seems more up for it and scores or creates. Our defence is uncertain enough these last few games without the RS having free runs at them.
Neither team is playing that badly at the moment, but failing to turn chances into goals and letting goals in that they shouldn't.

So, nullify Gerrard, play a midfield that will pick up runners and we have enough quality to score a goal or two. IMO we can not play Neville and Osman in centre mid. We need Distin. I'd love us to play 4-4-2 at home to these but we wont.

Kev and Jelly up front. Felli and Gibson centre park.

My money is also on an RS sything into Fellaini.

Osman has never turned up for a derby. Ever.
