Derby - Win, Lose or Draw ?

They always seem to beat us 2 - 0 at Goodison, think that's actually been the result for the last 3/4 derbies here?

I'm 22 and I've seen us win a mere 3 derbies. One was in the cup (Gosling), the other were the home games, the Carsley and AJ derbies if you will. I may be wrong, but even so I'll probably only have missed one or two.

Us younger lot never got to see us spank them regularly, I'm never optimistic going into a derby, no matter how gash they are playing. I've heard the commentator scream GERRARRDDD far too often.

2-0 Hodgson, arteta and cahill.

Oh and the 1-0 at anfield under walter smith, Kevin Campbell scored, and I think we beat them at home in kendall's third spell and twice under Royle (the kanchelskis derby and his first game).

I detest derby games, last seasons cup game at Wembley proved just how bad we bottle derbies, that was the best chance we'd had in years to give them a right walloping and after Jelavic's goal I honestly thought we'd go on and win by a cricket score. But as derbies usually go these days, we gave them a way back in. I'm almost certain this will happen again this time but I would give anything to be wrong.

You wanna try being young and watching them spank us hard in 2 Cup Finals.

But at least I had the pleasure of watching us win titles.

You know, it's not getting beat that annoys me about Moyes and derbies - it's the complete lack of effort and desire that's usually on show. Even when we make monumental errors that hand them the game it's like "oh well, nevermind."

I'm thinking of Distin last year there really. Sure he apologised and everything on Twitter and seemed gutted after the event, but on the pitch when it happened he just seemed mildly upset, then the entire side just capitulated without any fight or another tackle thrown in anger.

Gonna be so nervous as usual but I'm so confident for once this time round. Do think we have enough quality regardless of whether Fellaini is injured or not. But good to hear that he might be back before then.
If only Fellaini is out with Gibson back in midfield then I'm super confident.
Hibbert has to be at RB though, defensively Coleman is bloody hopeless and we have to be super tight at the back to have any chance of winning. Their defence looks a lot worse than ours at the moment so we should score quite easily.
Keeping the rat at bay and not giving them time to pass the ball around (which to be fair they do well most games) is most important. Distin has to start with Jags, and Mirallas on the right with Osman and Gibson in CM. Baines and Pienaar on left as usual, Jelavic up front. I'm guessing Neville will be involved regardless somewhere as it is a derby, especially if Fellaini is injured so we could see Naismith included behind Jelavic or Mirallas. Moyes really needs to get Hitzlsperger involved as we need more presence in midfield at the moment, Naismith needs to step up also.

Hate predicting these things but this is time to beat them, they do not look strong at all and are conceding a copious amount of goals with Reina looking worse than I've ever seen him.
Just hope the lads turn up and give us a good result before Sunday roast.

Going to win this time and we will send them further back down the league.

This time next year we will hopefully in Europe and they wont...... Woohoo
