This is Demari Gray....

Comes on as sub with 15 minutes to go, looks bright and troubles tiring defenders, without ever really creating or scoring.

There is a bit of a clamour for them to start because of those sub appearances, and he does absolutely nothing and doesn't even look bright.

He drops down to the bench again.

You play a championship or league one team, and he looks like a combination of Ronaldo and Messi rolled into one.

There is a bit of a clamour for him to start because of that appearance, and he does absolutely nothing and doesn't even look bright.

Once in a while he'll do something amazing in a game, people will forget that whenever he starts he rarely does anything. There will be a bit of a clamour for him to start, and he'll do absolutely nothing.

The fans will all grow frustrated as him never seemingly being able to fulfil his talent, but you'll sit and watch fans of other teams acting like he's Ronaldo and Messi rolled into one, because they saw him rinse Peterborough in the cup.

Gray will start posting cryptic posts on social media, hinting at everyone else is at fault for him not getting more game time.

The manager will also grow frustrated and it will look like he'll be on his way out of the club. Then your manager will get sacked, and the new manager will think he's Ronaldo and Messi rolled into one, because they saw him rinse Peterborough in the cup.

Then you start the whole sorry process once again.

For what you've paid it's fine, worth a shot, but I wouldn't expect that much.

Seems like I thought.

We used to have a player exactly like that, his name was Gerard Deulofeu.

Wouldn't say deulofeu offered nothing when he started though, he was good in his first season when he got minutes and then that first 6 months of Martinez last season was it? He was quality.

Just knackered wasn't he

He had moments, usually off the bench, very rarely strung a run of good performances together. There’s a reason he spent his peak at Watford.

Welcome Demari Lookman.

But seriously for 1.5m that's what I would expect at least he has raw abilities to improve and is hardly a risk. Also he has pace which we badly lack.
