outstanding? i thought they were about the best of a very bad bunch in an exceedingly poor film, but it seems to me they were coasting along, rather hamming up previous performances somewhat - stretched they weren't.

I was being just a tad bit sarcastic there.

love ya Ghost, but dum ass thread.

DeNiro can not be classified. Nuff said

Posted via Mobile Device Decent actor but that's about it, not in the same league as say Paul Newman or even his co-star in a few films, Joe Pesci. I ain't seen as many of his films as you have Ghost but almost everyone that i have seen be it a gangster or a comedy film he always does that effing annoying 'sideways glance' thing that he does, and not just once, over and over again. Having said that his acting in that frankenstein film was up there with the best of them, also liked 'Midnight Express' a lot as well.

Cape Fear? not a gangster.
King of Comedy? not a gangster
Taxi Driver, Deer Hunter, New York New York, etc...... not a gangster.

I'll concede that Paul Newman is a great actor, was a great actor. Joe Pesci also, but his best films were when he was supporting De Niro, unless you think Home Alone and Lethal Weapon were better than Raging Bull? :)

Posted via Mobile Device Haha yeah forgot about Home Alone ! Cape Fear was another fine film, that scene with the daughter made your blood run cold. Still reckon Newman though, Papillion, now that's acting Ghost.
