I have always been an avid fan of De Niro and I have almost 60 videos/dvd's of his. I haven't got a couple of the new ones yet because refuse to spend more than £5 on any new movies.

I am missing though some older titles, if anyone has any and is willing to let them go for a steal, let me take them off your hands.

  1. Three Rooms in Manhatten
  2. Sam's Song
  3. The Wedding Party
  4. Bloody Mama
  5. Hi, Mom!
  6. Jennifer On My Mind
  7. The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight
  8. The Swap
  9. Stanley & Iris
  10. Shark Tale
  11. The Bridge of San Luis Ray
  12. Stardust
  13. What Just Happened
  14. Righteous Kill

PM if you want to do business.

That's your favourite De Niro film? Why may I ask? I mean it's ok, it shows De Niro in a different light, and he plays part well (does he ever).

i guess i'm not a huge de niro fan & i probably saw that film primarily because i like bill murray. i suppose it'd be more accurate to say that's my favourite film that de niro has been in rather than my favourite de niro film, if you see what i mean. the next one would probably be Angel Heart, but again that's really a mickey rourke film, to my mind. de niro's a fine actor, but i don't find myself thinking i necessarily want to see a film just because he's in it.

He's more than a fine actor though my friend. He is a legend and I would doubt many in the industry would disagree. Have you seen Deer Hunter? Taxi Driver? Goodfellas?

What is your favourite film of all times?

Well i presume he's considered a legend in the industry because he's a fine actor, no? I have seen all those films & many more besides. Those 3 are all good films, although it's a long while since last seeing Deer Hunter. My favourite of the 3 & i'd have to say my favourite "de niro film", i you appreciate the distinction i made previously, is Taxi Driver. I first saw it as part of a double bill with Midnight Express - heavy combo!

Absolutely.

I suppose if you describe Fine as a Fine Wine, then yes he is that.

Personally my favourite De Niro film is probably Ronin or The Score. But that's mainly because of the cast he is working with which develops his role too. As him out on his own being an island - I would say Cape Fear, very scary man in that.

But my favourite film with De Niro in is The Godfather 2, but obviously that goes beyond just De Niro.

My favourite De Niro performance is probably Raging Bull, favourite film hes in has to be either Godfather Part II or Goodfellas

He was also good in This Boy's Life & Raging Bull, of course, King of Comedy I particularly liked. However, I have to shamefully admit, that I have never seen any of the Godfather movies - despite having picked up the box set of dvd's well over 10 years ago (it was one of those bargains you can't ignore).

What's wrong with you? No time? Get them ******* watched mate. But don't expect much from the third, but the first 2, wow. Cinematic beauty at it's very best.

Ba Da Bing.

 I just tend to have a bit of thing about movies that are somewhat hyped up - even if the hype is merited. As a result, it was about 10 years after their release that I eventually caught up with the original Star Wars movies & then I saw them all out of sequence at first! But you're quite right, I really out to take the wrapper off the pack & check if the discs work ok - hopefully i'll enjoy the films too.

Hyped up? They won **** load of oscars. Look at the cast, the director.

Your so lucky, I wish I had never seen them and had the magical experience of watching them for the first time.

As I said "even if the hype is merited". Whenever a film is acclaimed by all the media, whether justifiably or not, it just puts me off & in the case of the Godfather movies that's probably been perpetuated by the constant praise of the film, topping polls etc. Anyway, I do need to watch it now due to all the references to it in the Sopranos!

It tops the polls for a reason. It came out in the 70s so how can it be now hyped. People are just polling it for the acclaim. Hype is usually reserved for films yet to be released or just released.

Take a day off and watch almost 9 hours of pure beauty. The soundtrack is sexual too.
