England U21s and player of the month awards in the championship.

Sure beats playing in a Europa League Final and winning league titles.

lollollollol

He didn't win the Europa league...and those titles were at Ajax who were massive favourites.

I suppose you now consider Mangala world class as he wont titles at Man City.

Interesting. To each his own.

Rooney, Sigurdsson and Schneiderlin are all better premier league players in their positions than Klaassen is in his, that’s why.

That's also true ,but Klaassen might be the type who needs a year or two to get up to speed. Or he'll be a success in Italy or Spain in a couple of years

It’s so hard to judge him based on what we’ve seen. I think he could be a similar player to Osman. I know Osman didn’t always get a lot of love from Evertonians but he was an important player for us for many years.

Ossie was an important player for us, but the game has moved on. All the top sides have pace right through the side. You can maybe carry one or two without pace, if they can hold the ball up, play pivot, but those players operate best with pace around them.

As with any Everton player, I hope he kicks on & becomes world class. I doubt it though.

This thread is literally just people making big balls statements based off pure guess work. He's hardly had a kick since he came here. Had a run at the start of the season when Messi would have looked lost in our team. Since then less than 45 minutes overall.

Nobody knows with Klaassen. I hope we find out before moving him on. Either side could be right.

We arent discussing whether Klaassen is world class, I simply said he will have a better career, appearing in Finals and winning titles is what every footballer aspires.

You put waaaaay to much "weight" in yoot tourneys Zat.

Not every good yoot player becomes a great footballer.

You had a pre-conceived idea regarding Klaassen, you have had it from the start, you deemed him a poor player from a poor league and then suggest we sign De Ligt and Dolberg from the same league, Dolberg who has scored abar 3 goals all season, for the record.

Truth here, hes unlikely to make it in this league, he just doesnt look like he has the required skill set, so we will probably punt him on for a massive loss, which is a shame, cos I doubt we REALLY know if he can make it, he hasnt been given a chance at all, yes hes played games and hes looked poor, very poor at times, but yesterday was his first league game for almost 5 months.

So Klaassen doesnt play well and people declare him not good enough, Vlasic doesnt play well and people say "hes rusty, he needs games", Niasse runs around like somebody who has won a raffle and people say "bless him, he tries hard".

Meh, whatever, it wasnt my 24m we spunked, Everton, Everton, Everton.

Would love klaassen to come good but to suggest you can't judge him because he can't get in the team is also misguided. By that logic, I could argue that I could be good enough to play for Everton if I only got picked, but we'll never know.

You can't, because they play in different positions. Bolasie is woeful, but width and pace has been a massive, massive problem for us this season. Coco was dropped as soon as Baines re-gained fitness. Morgan is awful, but Klaassen isn't a DM and can't replace him.

Klaassen is a CM/AM and in every match I've seen him play, he has looked hopelessly out of his depth in that position. Not even close to being as good as Siggurdson, Rooney or Davies (and that is saying something!).

The point I was making was that players have put in shocking performances with no effort countless times and still get given minutes... klassen hasn't had enough minutes to be labelled crap yet imo
