He's hopeless.

But weirdly, he was growing into that game yesterday. He backed out of a few challenges, misplaced a lot of balls, but then got into the game just after the half hour. Not excusing his poor performance, but was surprised that he didn't at least get a brief run out in the second half.

Overall, he's been hugely disappointing, just can't get into matches enough, doesn't really offer anything, but being kind to him, I think it's a rough one for him, because his confidence must be absolutely shot to bits. Every game, he comes off at half time. Must be shackled to the fear of doing nothing right, because we've got an utter moron as a manager.

Not good enough to be near the first team so shouldn't be there, go and put him in the u23's until he shows something.
I could give him some leeway of a new league and style and all that but he shows nothing and doesn't even touch the ball, that's unexcusable. Vlasic is younger less experienced and touches it 10 times as much and effectively.

Ross had 2 half a seasons of being great when his form dipped...whether that's fans on his back or not, he still got out of that and performed. Additionally for the most part the bells that got on his back don't know football, but also know he can be capable of something special.

Which leads into the 2nd point...if youre talent is good, you shut the boo boys up by showing it. If you can't, then they need moving on.

Haha oh my lord what? 2014/15 he was shocking throughout.

No excuse at all. See Vlasic

Exactly.

If you're good enough, you'll make the impact. Christ, it's not like he's only stinking it out in the "high impact high intensity" (zzzzz) league games. He was abysmal against Sunderland (bottom half League One standard really) and in the Europa League which is the continental style sides he should thrive against.

Truly abysmal

What's weird is that he ran the show in the home leg of the Europa semis last year... against Lyon

I think that's even more damning. Unless he's in the bubble wrapped safe environment of Ajax, protected and coddled , he can't produce the goods. This isn't Ross Barkley going to The Emirates one week and being boss then going away in the lower rounds of the cup and leathering it in from 30 yards; this is archetypal Snivelley behaviour

Yep. He is absolute garbage. He was an above average performer in a dreadful dutch league.
He cannot even get in the national side as a starter and that is the weakest Dutch side in 40+ years.

I would be looking to offload him back to Ajax in January.
