Still convinced there's something there, not all players hit the ground running but you can still see some raw qualities they possess and that's the case here I feel. He looks very composed on the ball and is quick to spot a pass, that's a valuable player to have in the engine room of your midfield. Just needs time to adjust and find his feet. I would start Davies going forward and play Klaassen in the cups and Europe going forward rather than vice versa, it will be easier for him to bed in.
It's not fair at all to write him off yet.
