2025/26 David Moyes

Right, my head is going round in circles at the mo.

This whole conversation started with you questioning the approach of our owners, and how they are taking Roma backwards.

And somehow now we are talking about the Sunderland game.

Do you get why I'm suddenly lost on this conversation !

Maybe we just both lost our way in this conversation.

Forget the ownership part, I can't be debating that anymore, if you dont like them than thats fully your choice.

We both want to achieve on the pitch
So let's leave the last part in agreement.
All I said about the Friedkins was that Roma underperformed under their stewardship vs. before. But maybe that is changing now.

Either way, turning this club around is going to take time and patience due to Moshiri’s mismanagement.

Not yet Matt but I think he will deffo go at the end of the season. If the club has ambition, which I think our new overlords do,then he ain't he man. To an extent he has settled the ship which is what he was brought in for,but as for taking us further. No

I think there is a genuine argument for this now and ive defended Moyes to the hilt. He did a great job from Dyche but there's always this ceiling with Moyes. We're 4 days away from Fulham. Marco silva doesnt need to think about Everton or our line up. We all know it now. And its not like he cant change it. We've looked very stale for the past month. And very predictable.
And without going into loads more detail. That has followed Moyes for most of his career. Steady eddie but you dont need a new script with him. As he just sticks to the old one time and time again.

Probably going to be his get out of jail card this season, is the damage to football side of Everton FC under Moshiri mismanagement.

In the interests of fairness he has to be given a right back and a centre forward in Jan. The new regime take the bigger portion of the blame for me.
Transfer committee has had one window, we ended up with more quality than expected although came at the cost of balanced side. Should be some played desperate for match time in world cup year coming up.

It’s been a mixed bag. More quality on the ball brought in but left us weaker up front and totally neglected the vital full back positions. As a club we seem to have amnesia when it comes to those positions.

What a weird response. I’m not refusing to be happy, I’m just saying we don’t ‘owe’ them for buying us. They didn’t do it out of the goodness of of their heart, they did it because they thought it was a good business opportunity. You do understand that dont you?!
People are forgetting that we had other buyers! Not least Bell and Downing. Also I think it will be instructive what’s going on with Roma managers and what happens re Moyes. Then we’ll be in a better position to assess their ambitions.

Its been one window, so likely severel windows before balance is established,

Have to say, got bring in leaders of men. We have too many that role over when it gets tough.

We've kept an Everton great way beyond his playing ability has diminished through age yet keeping the bench warm on the pretense of his leadership skills transcend throughout the squad. I dont see it.

Why? What makes you think he’s going to spend it any better than he has this summer? I wouldn’t give him any more money to waste. Move him on in the summer and start afresh.

If i was Angus Kinnear then at this point I'd be asking TFG for another £100mil.

If I was Marc Watts I'd suggest to him that selling KDH (£28mil), Beto (£20mil), McNeil (£20mil), Patterson (£2mil) would be the preferred approach to January to bring in £70mil.

Do that and TFG may top it up to £100mil for a CM & a CF.

Mykolenko's contract expires in the summer so he needs an extension now, even if the plan is to sell him in the summer. Aznou either needs to be used or loaned.

The focus really has to be selling players now.
