2025/26 David Moyes

Is this progress? Feel like that's a debate that should be had
If you count 1 more point than last season progress then sure.

I personally don't.

All this nonsense about stability, we've had the same points the two seasons before this one and we finished this season with one more.

It's been 48,48,49.

It's stagnation and kinnears comments are embarrassing and I don't quite understand why he was given the job in the first place. Leeds seem to be doing better without him.

I just feel the club and the people running it are just happy to exist and plod on around, being the nearly men.

If they don't make a change and actually go for it when there are so many decent managers out there for the taking, then we know what they are.

This man isn't the man for the now, he steadied the ship, say time to say goodbye,

And if they don't do that we know they're either scared of him, or have no ambition. Both thoughts are scary.

How have I underestimated it?

Ive banged on to tedious levels about it. Bored anyone who'd listen about his recruitment at West Ham.

I was in the very clear minority wanting him gone last summer. For the reason you're saying ive underestimated there.

We had a massive opportunity to really send a bolt through the club last summer. New owners. New stadium. We looked backwards. No other club would bring back a manager they had for 10+ years without winning a thing to rebuild.

Moyes was talking retirement before coming back to us and we've given him the rebuild.

Incredible. We get what we deserve.

Agree with every single word. The esteem in which he is held by some will never seek to amaze me. As for the guard of honour when he left, still leaves me cold now.

It depends on you look at it. From a fan perspective, no. From an owner/board perspective, yes.

The problem the board and owners have, is our fans are so starved of winning a trophy and success. The ambitions of the fans aren’t matching the same has the owners/board.

We’ve literally had no success in 31 years and are just making up the numbers. Fans have had enough of just making up the numbers. The only form of any success this club has had. Is staying in the PL

I dont think there's much debating to be done, on here at least.

The people that still support him are fully entrenched in that view and I have to question how bad things would have to get for them to have a change of heart.
The people that support him at this point are deep deep in delusion.

Moyes would relegate us and they’d still support him under the guise of ‘not all progress is linear guys, you’re all just dramatic bad fans!!’

You talked about us going nowhere, I was just pointing out it could be more serious and endanger our Premier League status.

I dont think we will see the consequences of the decision to bring back Moyes and stick with him until a few years.

Moyes left West Ham with the oldest squad in the league and 3 points above where we sit now, having spent half a billion.

Next season? We'll do this, IMO

Nothing I've seen from TFG so far, or their choice of Everton CEO suggests there's even a remote possibility of change this summer.

They'll get him some full backs, the likes of Ivan Toney/Liam Delap/Tomas Soucek/Harry Wilson and we'll be 9th-12th next season.

You'll be happily dissatisfied. Unless Liverpool win a trophy or two. Then you'll pipe up a bit as it'll get on your nerves.

The fannies who still believe/ want/ applaud this fraud, need to take up lawn bowls, or croquet & be happy in their sedate & conservative environment.

I was done with Davey Dyche after the first six years of his tenure. We can't have any more years of his turgid nonsense, or god forbid... he's given a role 'upstairs'.

15 years of nothing & still there's a load of wet wipes that want more!

Yeah completely agree, and worse thing is I don't think they really had anyone else in mind. They were talking to him months before Dyche went.
