2025/26 David Moyes

Mental isnt it when you say it like that, 7pts from 7 games. I remember thinking 55 probably wouldn't be enough for EC and it ended up it would have got you 7th and EL

He's overseen an absolute massive bottle job. Its akin to someone chucking the league title but in a European stakes game. 7pts and what did we get, 3pts?
Moyes biggest league bottle job ever imho

What's shown him up even more is he kept playing the same players that was failing him, (or he was failing them) he literally didn't try anything different. like nothing.

'Lets go again lads, same team, same instructions, lets see if it works this week'

Moyes said there is a meeting soon with TFG about the season to review it and assess moving forward!

I’d hope at this meeting they inform him given his contract length he will have less control over transfers…and informed that younger players must get game time!

I hope those restrictions force him to say its time for him to step a side!

I think you're underestimating the damage. We spent £150 million and he's devalued a number of players. If we give him another £150 million he has openly said he'll spend it on older players. If that happens we are hamstrung for the next 3-5 years so he's not only a bad manager he's also preventing the next manager from doing a good job.
Did same at West Ham. It won't be stability it will be a mini Koeman situation.

The chat when he was saying "if needs must I may try Beto and Barry together". Never tried it. Never tried anything different. Same players, a back line so out of form yet still getting picked week in week out and with deals to Keane, Tarkowski and Mykolenko imminent itll be same old same old. Would anyone be surprised if that back 4 was starting next season? I wouldnt be at all.

I hope they just sack him.

How have I underestimated it?

Ive banged on to tedious levels about it. Bored anyone who'd listen about his recruitment at West Ham.

I was in the very clear minority wanting him gone last summer. For the reason you're saying ive underestimated there.

We had a massive opportunity to really send a bolt through the club last summer. New owners. New stadium. We looked backwards. No other club would bring back a manager they had for 10+ years without winning a thing to rebuild.

Moyes was talking retirement before coming back to us and we've given him the rebuild.

Incredible. We get what we deserve.

The thought of trying to play Beto and Barry together........

Christ almighty

Yeah he could've pushed him further but there wasn't much point.

Moyes gave him the story/soundbite he wanted.

Saying he doesn't understand the fans frustrations is such a stupid thing to say.

There's no upside to saying that.

The most obvious thing would have been to say he understands why people are frustrated given the end to the season and then move on. Didn't even have it in him to say that. Poor form from Moyes.
