2025/26 David Moyes

It's not even the 13th position really, if it was a different manager we would probably be a bit more relaxed about it.

Trouble is with Moyes, we know who and what he is, what he is good and bad at. And most people don't want that any more.

If he stays at least he can take the whole summer starting now to identify some targets...

What do you mean he is doing punditry at the World Cup?
He’s signed on with Talk Sport for the World Cup

The last 2 months have been absolutely horrific and we only needed 2 wins in the last 7 games to qualify for the Europa League but this is the biggest sickener for me and the reason why he should be sacked tomorrow. There is no future with this loser in charge. He has to go and sack that happily dissatisfied tosspot with him.

Unbelievable - in the post match press conference he said he does not understand why the fans are frustrated because he kept us up with no worries of relegation.

F I really hate him, please Friedkins sack him.
First thing he said when he came in was 'I don't want to talk about Everton and relegation, this club belongs higher up'

Didn't take long for him to go back on that

I’m not hearing many ‘we’ in his interviews. A lot of ‘they’ and ‘Everton’ …does make me wonder if he thinks he may be leaving
This is a manager who wastes no opportunity to position us as fortunate to stay out of the relegation fights or happy to be safe by Easter.

Is this the attitude needed to get us into Europe and long cup runs?

The club needs to smell the roses here. Mediocrity Moyes has his comfy cardigan on. 13th is the new magnificent 7th. See the direction of travel?

Dear me, especially after the 2.00 mark, he’s clearly being a surly arsehole here

Talking about before he first came here and then saying let’s hope it doesn’t happen this time. I genuinely don’t think he thinks we can compete at the top end of the table. Number one for any manager has to be they can believe we can compete for Trophies again, otherwise what’s the point?

Curious here, we're quite a large group (not sure how many got members there are) but does anyone actually want him here?
Non evertonians (echo etc.) who don't actually watch our games will try and tell us it's great because we're not in a relegation battle on the last day, but seriously are there any on here who want him here?

You’re right about Iraloa (or Glasner) but what would be knee jerk about it? I know we’ve struggled since Chelsea but Chelsea have since shown to be woefully out of form.

Additionally aside from the subsequent games, our overall performances have been generally poor and the stats bear this out, we were quite lucky to be in the position we were in but ultimately every other performance metric has been the same as the first half of last season or only slightly marginally better. We were given hope of Europe but quite frankly I do not believe our performances (in a cohesive attacking sense) ever deserved it.

For me this is the story of the season generally and not a post Chelsea story in which only the results have deteriorated.

What i mean about knee jerk is theres no point sacking him if theres no succession plan in place.

As i said i dont want to sack him then we spend 2-3 weeks twiddling our thumbs. Only to be looking at managers like victor Pereira or nuno.

Nah, id rather keep moyes then that.

How can that be though? Sunderland haven’t had three seasons of stability yet before they’re allowed to move forward.

They’ve just got a much braver manager and owner than we do.

These journos drive me bonkers
They hand him his excuses every fcuking time
'David you only lost today because they were fighting for their lives wasn't it David? You would've pasted them otherwise wouldn't you David? They were lucky they were fighting to stay up weren't they David?' 'Koff
Must have been the same reason they battered us at home then ? 😏

I’d rather not keep him but yes I agree with that sentiment, if we do get rid I want someone in the chair doing a press conference within a day or two
