'Didnt think it was a great performance...we need more players'

If I recall he is 7th best paid manger in EPL and the players are 16th best paid squad. We finished 13th.

To be honest it I find the squad costs = position argument a little frivolous. Take this season for example, I just simply googled for the most expensive squad payrolls, and first hit was Capology. I can’t vouch for how accurate Capology is.

Capology has us down for this season as the 10th highest paid above Fulham (11th), Crystal Palace (15th) , West Ham (18th) Wolves (20th), Brighton (8th), Sunderland (7th), Bournemouth(6th), Leeds (14th), Brentford (9th), Burnley (19th)

So Spurs and Forest have higher wage bills but finished below us this season (however they both had European football to accommodate those costs this season regardless of how poor they have done in the league) and according to the website, Fulham, Brighton, Sunderland and Brentford all with lower wage bills finished above us. This for me, means the wage bill vs position doesn’t really hold any weight, at keast specifically this season and in our situation.

Literally says he does NOT understand the frustration of the fans. No ambiguity.

Still ranking the season against the target set in August, instead of ranking it against what was possible in March.

Shocking thing to say that. At least lie and say “yes I’m frustrated too etc etc”. Instead, effectively saying we should be thankful we aren’t relegated.
