CONS: Most depressing and uninspiring press conferences EVERAfter Moyes last season, the way he attacked and played to win was good to see, at that point I was excited for the future. A tough to play Moyes side without the handbrake on looked the recipe for success.... BUT this season he has reverted to type, 'playing to not lose' seeing a point a game as acceptable.
The main points for me :-
1) Only 8 of the 10 signed for £150m used, he is not aligned with the committee or TFG transfer plan we see at Roma.
2) Young players frozen out, stunting development, Dibling is our 2nd most expensive player in our history, where is he?
3) Awful football to watch, Knife to a gunfight mentality
4) Future signings look like 30 year old crocks who will be on the decline and useless to a new manager, deadwood on big wages. We know how hard these are to get rid of, Andre Gomes springs to mind immediately.
5) Same team regardless of form, his persistence with playing Keane and Tarkowski is negligence, I think JOB at CB has a better win and clean sheet percentage. After Villa away we won 1-0, good performance and the general consensus was the balance looked much better playing players in their proper position, in the team that day was Rohl and Armstrong CM, JOB at CB and Patterson RB. I suspect they showed Moyes up and he dropped them for the next game and none were seen again until Rohl was brought back at RW for the last few games.
6) Plays players out of position.... JOB at RB whilst Keane stinks the gaff out at CB, Armstrong RW, Rohl RW. You could even go further and say KDH in the 10 when he openly says he is an 8.
7) In game management is horrendous, very late subs and the same most games.
8) Inability to use the squad, no wonder we've had an end of season crash, the players have hit the wall, well the 11 or 12 that always play, the rest must be fresh as daisies. Again I take it back to the Villa away game, good result and good to see them frozen out do well but the next game the AFCON lads were back and instead of putting them on the bench and using them only if needed they were straight back in the side... again least players used in the PL this season and joint with least used by Everton in an PL season, alot of our starting 11 have played the most games in the PL says it all.
Now what is the Pro's? Feel free to add more cons, I'm sure there is more.
Unfortunately not Keane and Tarkowski; if they were he'd have been gone weeks ago.Same defence…
Who the hell is defending Moyes at this point seriously
