2025/26 David Moyes

Wtf you on about not a real trophy?

Everyone on this fourm is ready to burn the club to the ground because we didnt get into that tournament but "its not a real trophy" apparently.

West ham fans are idiots who are obsessed with the west ham style (Which as far as i can tell they played for 2 weeks in 1966) and now their about to get relegated back into the championship because of it.

It's not a real trophy is it.

Personally Im not having this whole net spend argument.

He still spent 400m. It doesn't matter if hes got a great net spend 400m is 400m imo.

Isnt Chelsea's net spend really good? Theyve still spent over 1b on players.

I know thats not a popular opinion on it like but imo money spent is just money spent.
I want referring to net spend, I’m simply pointing out the £400m spend includes players who were subsequently sold, I.e. it includes about 8 defenders, 3 of whom who were sold before the start of last season, so it’s not like they started the season with £400m worth of additional players.
My comment was more in admiration of the way he managed this cycle through players all whilst the club are adding revenue through the player sales. This is what we need to do to help us bridge the gap and I don’t see Moyes as being remotely able to manage this

Net spend, playing styles, devaluing cups we having qualified for...

We're turning into them. Before it gets too late

Not at all.

If city spend 400m and Bournemouth spend 400m they've still spent 400m.

City may have the spending power through income, just the same as Bournemouth.

Just Bournemouth did it through selling players. They may of scouted well and had a manager that developed them into assets they can sell for more then they've paid but Theyve still spent 400m and all it takes is for a batch of those players to be duds and their in the crap.

Regardless the point still stands if youve spent 400m youve spent 400m doesn't matter whos spending it.
Of course it matters when we're talking about the quality of their manager?

Can't tell if you're being deliberately obtuse, or if I'm just not understanding what you're really getting at.

Obviously the Bournemouth model doesn't work if you sign a bunch of duds. Thats precisely why it's impressive that Iraola has been able to rebuild their team three years on the bounce after selling players, while continuously improving results season on season. He's heavily involved in recruitment there and picks the players they sign.

We are not city, we can't attract or afford the calibre of player they bring in every summer. Bournemouth being able to spend 400m at all is an indication of the managers success. That's why we're trying to copy their model and why we need a manager who's capable of actually developing the players we sign.

How exactly does it say more about me?

What are you on about we were beating city 3-1 till our defence decided to kack the bed.

Also shouldn't palace of had their keeper sent off in that final?

And how did their defence of the fa cup trophy go again? Oh, yeah. Knocked out in the first round they were in by a non-league side.

Palace have also lost 6-0 on aggregate to city this season. What happened to him working out the tactical issues
