2025/26 David Moyes

What you see is what you get always with Moyes.. confident we wont go down but also confident we’ll never challenge for a trophy or genuinely for european places.. anyone telling us be careful what we wish for is a wum. I would rather risk it all for all for a trophy or a top end european place than accept mid table. I’m a 34 year old whos had a season ticket for 25+ years and seen us win fu#k all i would rather us risk it all to win something than to be ‘happy’ to plod along mid table. We’re better than that!

Thats an excellent post mate and you and your peers are the lifeblood of the football club.
I am 71 I still go the game I've seen us win stuff but I love that fellas and girls your age who have seen nothing but failure have not had the expectation drilled out of you , you are not happy to accept mediocrity .
Moyes is not good enough for Everton and to suggest he will ever be is delusional.

It was a net record for this club and even though it's not a lot compared to other clubs but because of the ffp requirements and our lack of commercial revenue throughout the years it's a lot for us so not to incorporate players that we bought is criminal. Did you want him to spend more money on players he wasn't going to use?
Inflation. People are giving very skewed arguments when they keep banging on about the “record spend.” Celtic spent more on recent striker acquisitions than they did on Henrik Larsson, but it’s a bit disingenuous to use that as an argument for why they should be more effective scoring goals.

I think this is a fair point mate.

Was saying the other day I think us and Newcastle are the only clubs currently in the Prem to have never taken a punt on a young manager that has not managed in England before.

I really wouldn’t be surprised by any kind of result tomorrow - even the kind of thorough bumming of Spurs into the middle of next season’s Championship that none of us can currently quite conceive.

All hail the Moysiah!

A lot of the £400m was to replace players they sold, this is on of the things that has impressed me the most about him, he has rebuilt the team twice now and improved it. All this without the throwing of his toys from the pram we seeing from Moyes now regarding spending. Agree on the winless run but I'd like to think we'd be more patient if we could see a positive style being developed or progress being made.

That said I'd be wary of hiring Iraola without the proper structure around him; he's a head coach and not a manager. Without a DoF he may struggle.

Personally Im not having this whole net spend argument.

He still spent 400m. It doesn't matter if hes got a great net spend 400m is 400m imo.

Isnt Chelsea's net spend really good? Theyve still spent over 1b on players.

I know thats not a popular opinion on it like but imo money spent is just money spent.

Part of me wants an Everton loss, and a heavy one, just for the end of season poll on Moyes.

C'mon there's no way that any analysis of Moyes in terms of winning things puts him anywhere other than the average bracket. Why you wouldn't get rid when Glasner for instance is available is beyond me.

This the same glasner that had a mental breakdown mid season managing happy in 12th place palace???

We'd have him in a psychiatric ward within a week.

Hes done absolutely fantastic for palace but he 100% doesnt have the mentality to be a everton manager.
