I’m sure I won’t be the first, but… this aged well.

Roundheads… 3 (should Palmer be playing for us on this basis?)
Cavaliers… nil

So does some of the praise though, for a guy who has been in the game the length of time he has his career record is remarkably average yet some on here treat him like Ancelotti/Pep level. Also you can't force people to like someone, that's absolutely crazy mate. Personally I think both 'camps' are as bad as each other and there are about 4/5 posters on either side of the argument who yes do go totally OTT I do agree.

They don't enjoy seeing us lose they enjoy the opportunity to talk about how right they are that Moyes is crap and should get sacked. Just go back to the last cup break to see who they are.

Blues that devote more energy to whinging than supporting us.

Yeah 100%. Fair play to Moyes, he's managed to (at least in last two home games) visibly change our shape to being more solid when we lose the ball, exactly like we do away from home. It's vintage second half of the season David William Moyes.
 
Loathe him or rate him based on his career and his limits, the only thing that matters is his performance this season. On that basis alone, he has moved us tonight to 7th and in with a reasonable shout at Europe.

That is a decent performance given our squad shortcomings and our player absences (injury and Afcon). There’s surely got to be some objectivity about it.

I didn’t mention making it a fortress, I was referring to the manner in which we approached the game, whatever the actual outcome of the match.
