2025/26 David Moyes

Opportunity and that is all it is. Even if we do not make Europe I personally will still see it as a successful season when compared to last 4-5 seasons.
In Moyes first full season it is a massive success and I just wish fans would see it as I do...................realistically

I think today was a magical game and result and exactly what those (like me) have been complaining about and wanting to see this season.

Weve had Grealish slowing the play down compared to our more direct play last season.

Just doesnt suit us imo.

Today we went back to the tempo and high quality we saw more frequently in the best parts of his first spell.

Im pretty consistent in what ive said since the start of the season.

1: Get Europe and its a successful season.

2: Develop young players well and finish above 13th and its a successful season

3: Europe and develop young players and he'll have had a great season and i'd get behind him.

He's elected to go for 1.

For me, he's got to do the player development and subs etc need improvement.

But the key to everything is a style of play which hopefully we saw emerging today.

Performances like today give him a pass to pretty much anything.

Fabulous.

Performance was fantastic, positive, dynamic, aggressive and hunting for goals, all the things that make Evertonian’s happy.

And while this will bring out the usual suspects aghast at what I’m about to say, Chelsea under Rosenior / Will from Inbetweeners are a bit of a joke, so there needs to be some perspective.
The players they have and options available to them should not be getting pumped 8:2 by PSG nor 3:0 by our team.

That said I’d like to see us take that sort of approach with the teams below us more frequently, as the team clearly have it in them.

Que you wanted us to lose / you can’t stand it when we win etc etc.

It felt like we could finally release the handbrake.

Same alot of positives from that today is getting alot more from players like mcneil and beto. And well just finally seeing us on the front foot early on and all game was just great football. Only negative i have is thought a great chance give Dibling some game time today. But honestly made up with theat today really felt like a late ko at goodison was bouncing and we got a performance
I’ve probably made far too many excuses for Dibling and I still firmly believe that there’s a player there, but it’s very worrying that he didn’t get any time today. If he wasn’t ineligible, I’m pretty sure Moyes would have subbed on Tyrique George and given him time to show something.

You really just said that

Imagine spending weeks moaning we need to sack the man who has us in 7th
People are entitled to their opinions. Outside of a handful of posters I haven't seen that many people say he should actually be genuinely sacked. Plenty have said they would let him see his contract out and then make a change then. I can't stand the guy tbh but I have always been willing to let him see his time out.

disagree still have problems because the fb in the tram dont really push on so we ask alot from the wingers. Also just think this team is getting some shape now in the midfield and finally got today a real cf perfomance from beto which helped us massively. Alot of credit to moyes today

Our fans are becoming far worse tbh, there are some prize berks on here who you couldn't pay me to go to the match with. Imagine watching that game tonight, probably our best performance this season then the first thing you feel the need to do is try stir up trouble in your own fanbase.

Probably a release after reading the daily Moyes bashing on here. If they have to take it on the chin for an hour or so after a win then so be it. They're very quick to tell people all the faults of the manager the rest of the week.
