So that's why they call him "the Moyesiah".Wow… Jesus… Moyes… Fantastic
Can't wait to see him progress further and play some youth at some point, as I've been told he always does and nurtures them well.I am celebrating Everton's success at being rewarded by persisting with a manager who is doing a fantastic job.
A strong contender for ‘diarrhoea post of 2026’. Fair playNone of this is true.
Oh dear when I see a poster agreeing with a self claimed (former) red then thats me losing interest in anything youre saying.
We could have gone with 1 of 3 objectives this season:
1: Focus solely on Europe
2: Develop the young players
3: Try and do both
Moyes has chosen 1.
The posters who are 100% behind Moyes don't seem to have the brain capacity to understand that attaining Europe means that we will have failed in 2.
They lie and gaslight other posters about pretty much anything and everything related to the squad.
Unpleasant people which reflects badly on them.
To build something, you first need to develop for the medium and long term.
Those who want to see Everton do well beyond one season are looking at the short termism of the manager.
Typically open minded about how we get there. Whether thats English youth (like me) overseas high potential players, bargains or otherwise.
To both your points, the problem Moyes has now is that for all his talk about Europe and ridiculous team selections he's not got massive support from the fanbase.
If he doesnt reach Europe then hes already thrown his (typically negative) excuse that players wont want to join.
For Moyes he should live and die by the sword / or the knife:
Get Europe and the young players will have gametime.
Fail to reach Europe and its a wasted season and a huge waste of an opportunity to develop a number of u23 players.
We wont be seeing anything exciting in terms of selection nor will we see any player development.
At this stage with only 8 games to play its Europe or bust.
Many fans are saying we need to boot him no matter what and others if he doesnt get Europe.
A few fans would back Moyes even if he left the club tomorrow and joined another club. They'd back him if he then talked down our club and pushed to sign our players "for the good of their careers".
Those are the bad guys.
Enjoy the win today?I'd just like to leave this here. Consider it the virtual equivalent of pinning a newspaper article to the dressing room wall. Except this is purely for the manager, not the players...
