2025/26 David Moyes

Iv'e always called him Villa Tim on here, I've plained on here before, that, while I am fairly consistent on calling all our players by their surnames,I can never remember how to spell his. Rather than refer to him as Tim Iroegbunam choose refer to him as VillaTim so as not to show favouritism.
i think if you type Tim Iroegbunam. on here it amazingly fills in his entire name (i.e. Tim and the first letter of his surname). My mind was blown when I saw that happen.

….we’ve seen the trust Moyes puts in youngsters with Armstrong but players have to earn that trust, which is exactly how it should be.

You don’t play footballers simply because they’re young, they earn game time. It’s not one of your computer games.
Armstrong is an anomaly in terms of his mentality and maturity though. Great to have him and happy he's playing, but I don't think it's reasonable if that's the standard our young players need to hit to be trusted with any minutes on the pitch.

There should be a middle ground.

Sadly for you you’re in a minority of about 5% of weirdos in the fanbase, the vast majority of our fans couldn’t care less about it in big huge 2026.

You've seen the clamour to get shut of Moyes every time we have a downturn in the season.

The knives are always out and sharpened in readiness...

I am absolutely positive that most have already made peace with, maybe most/many were not overly bothered at the time? I am basing my assumption that most of us have lives outside of Everton and especially have lives outside of the hating of individuals that affect our own lives in such a small way, or at least it should be a small way. It is extremely unhealthy to have this level of hate for somebody for footballing reasons.

Honestly, seek help and/or stop wumming.

I'm more than comfortable with it, thanks.

Fair enough, hope you see the light soon and realise that there is more to life than holding decades long grudges against people you will never meet and have little to no affect on your life.

Or you realise that there are no rewards to being a wind up merchant other than a false sense of importance.

Now, back onto Moyes, hopefully he will earn the reward of another year by getting us that European spot. I have my doubts that we will make it but then again, I am in one of my more slight negative moods :). The beauty of football is opinions and beliefs change as quickly as the wind. Get 3 points on Saturday and it is back to being positive.

We've already beaten Villa and Utd away from home this season?

I’m sure then it won’t be a problem for Moyes to beat a couple of City, Chelsea, Brentford & Liverpool.

The odds are against it but perhaps those wins will give him the confidence to go for a couple of victories.🤞

David Moyes has a record of W45 D58 L131 in the Premier League against Big Six opponents in his managerial career so 0.8 points per game.

The other potential problem is that we only got 2 points from the other remaining games against Spurs, Sunderland & West Ham earlier this season. ☹️

I assume Roma would have priority over us in Europe & they are currently in a Conference league place. ☹️☹️

To become a successful Premier League player you have to be an anomaly. That said, some people just need a lot more time to settle, which could explain Dibling. He's had issues before, so if we can keep the pressure off it might help him in the long term.
