If that’s what you’re looking for you’re definitely in the wrong threadLet’s face it, the game is being played be both factions, neither of whom are wholly wrong or wholly right. So let’s stop trying to scorn each other and just have some healthy debate.
That’s the funny thing about common sense …….its not very common nowadaysAhh, sense. Good old sense.
Not to mention the various 17/18 yr olds from the Hungarian second division who would become PL winners in the futureAnd Lundstram, Simms, Dowell, Small, Browning, Kenny and a whole host of others who've carved out careers in the Vanarama![]()
Iv'e always called him Villa Tim on here, I've plained on here before, that, while I am fairly consistent on calling all our players by their surnames,I can never remember how to spell his. Rather than refer to him as Tim Iroegbunam choose refer to him as VillaTim so as not to show favouritism. Are we really calling Iroegbunam 'Villa Tim' now?
For someone who can't remember how to spell his name, you had a pretty good stab at it there.Iv'e always called him Villa Tim on here, I've plained on here before, that, while I am fairly consistent on calling all our players by their surnames,I can never remember how to spell his. Yeah - I’d rather they get minutes than finish in Europe!Need to commit 20 minimum per game to Aznou and Dibling running in. Even if it means 1-3 spots lower in the table, I would take 2-6m less in payouts in order to either prep these guys for next season or at least know what we have. Doubt it would cost us 3 spots though.
I`d like us to get into Europe but I`d like to see if the young players could give us a bit of a spark to lighten up the run in to the end of the season more, and if we fall short of Europe in doing so, so be it. What would be the benefit of scrambling into a European spot and still not knowing for sure if some of the young players we brought in last summer are up for the first team?Yeah - I’d rather they get minutes than finish in Europe!
We're not social services Zat. Patterson is crap, Gueye is better than Tim, Rohl appears to be fifth or sixth choice along with Alcaraz (no issue with that), and Dibling has been poor.
These players are being kept out of the team by better or more reliable players. It's up to them to change that, nobody else.
Spot on Eggs. In fact, we've seen many a manager opt for 2 keepers on the bench instead of just opting for a kid.
This is Everton. This is Premier League. Even just getting a spot on the bench should be seen as a reward.

Oh you’ve done it now, I can already hear the pitta patter of The Moyesettes racing in to say ‘you want us lose’, ‘you can’t get over something that happened 12 years ago’ along width all the usual tropes. The posters who are 100% behind Moyes don't seem to have the brain capacity to understand that attaining Europe means that we will have failed in 2.
They lie and gaslight other posters about pretty much anything and everything related to the squad.
Unpleasant people which reflects badly on them.
If he doesnt reach Europe then hes already thrown his (typically negative) excuse that players wont want to join.
A few fans would back Moyes even if he left the club tomorrow and joined another club. They'd back him if he then talked down our club and pushed to sign our players "for the good of their careers".
Those are the bad guys.
Zat lights the Roman Candle.....but has he stepped back far enough?None of this is true.
Oh dear when I see a poster agreeing with a self claimed (former) red then thats me losing interest in anything youre saying.
We could have gone with 1 of 3 objectives this season:
1: Focus solely on Europe
2: Develop the young players
3: Try and do both
Moyes has chosen 1.

To build something, you first need to develop for the medium and long term.
Those who want to see Everton do well beyond one season are looking at the short termism of the manager.
Typically open minded about how we get there. Whether thats English youth (like me) overseas high potential players, bargains or otherwise.
To both your points, the problem Moyes has now is that for all his talk about Europe and ridiculous team selections he's not got massive support from the fanbase.
If he doesnt reach Europe then hes already thrown his (typically negative) excuse that players wont want to join.
For Moyes he should live and die by the sword / or the knife:
Get Europe and the young players will have gametime.
Fail to reach Europe and its a wasted season and a huge waste of an opportunity to develop a number of u23 players.
We wont be seeing anything exciting in terms of selection nor will we see any player development.
At this stage with only 8 games to play its Europe or bust.
Many fans are saying we need to boot him no matter what and others if he doesnt get Europe.
