2025/26 David Moyes

Ferguson built them up himself regularly introducing young talent into the team both from home and abroad.

Others have supported that with further points but he built and rebuilt sides over and over.

Picking your best team and making subs when players are tired and resting players game to game would be more sensible.

Patterson performed better than Obrien and is dropped.

As I said;

Injuries
AFCON
Resting players
Performance

Having minutes on the pitch doesnt actually mean starting by the way

….we’ve seen the trust Moyes puts in youngsters with Armstrong but players have to earn that trust, which is exactly how it should be.

You don’t play footballers simply because they’re young, they earn game time. It’s not one of your computer games.

Spot on Eggs. In fact, we've seen many a manager opt for 2 keepers on the bench instead of just opting for a kid.

This is Everton. This is Premier League. Even just getting a spot on the bench should be seen as a reward.

….Garner, O’Brien, Iroegbunam are young players who have significantly improved under Moyes. What a massive show of trust he shows in Harrison Armstrong.

Zat has always had his own personal agenda for players he talks up. ‘Alcaraz will be one of our all time midfield greats’ was his grandiose prediction, so he blamed Moyes for playing Doucoure ahead of him and failed to celebrate his last minute goal against Forest. More wildly grandiose predictions about Dibling, the fact it’s not working out is ‘down to Moyes’ and the same level of disdain for McNeil as Doucoure.

Zat’s agenda matters more to him than an Everton win, that’s what sets him aside from Evertonians on here 😄

Don't forget about Broja & Chermiti being the future superstars as well.

He brought the league with an open chequebook at a time when Man Utd was in transition and Arsenal were starting their slide. Then when Rooney and Ronaldo started hitting their peaks coupled with some excellent signings like Vidic etc Mourinho lost his effectiveness because Ferguson had prepared for the longer game whilst Mourinho is a short-term thinking manager.
Balderdash.

Rice is arguably the best midfielder in the country and Moyes, ahem, groomed him as a young player.

The fact he chat’s complete and utter wham with zero self awareness is why I put him aside.
