2025/26 David Moyes

And lescott was superb at left back.
square pegs in round holes depends on who the player is. Garner looks just as comfortable in either position. Nobody described Alan Harper as a square peg when Everton were winning titles with him playing everywhere.
Any managers wet dream. Not just Moyes.
But moving Garner to Rb left a round hole with only a square peg to fill it.

Utd dont score with Garner in the middle..

Portugal.

Moyes must be the manager with the most winter training breaks in the history of the PL. I stand to be corrected on that. He was notorious for them at West Ham and obviously here too. Even when Sunderland were in the bin when he took them down he had them in New York mid-season.

It sort of incentivises being knocked out of the cup early every season, I suppose.

Does his brother still run the company who organise them?

I'm simply suggesting that if everyone knows that the manager likes a mid-season jolly in a warm climate then the motivation to get through to the latter rounds of the cup competitions has to be undermined.
I'm one of those that thinks he should probably be moved on in the summer but christ mate, can't you just enjoy a victory and us looking at a possible European season (and if he gets that, he can stay for the last year of his contract)?

Surely your time's better spent than clutching at the tiniest of straws to try and undermine the manager of the team you profess to support.

Kenny Moyes used to do the Italian Alps training camp for Everton when Moyes was here first time around.

I think he's actually banned for his dodgy dealings in football, although of course he was able to get his old client Charlie Adam a place in this club via his brother, so I wouldn't rule anything out.

One thing is for sure: the Moyes family in their various guise have a had a really good screw out of Everton.

Why was that Ranting ?

Iv'e said plenty of times how well Garner can cover positions, but people forget/ignore/ or don't actually see what we lose moving him from his position.

Just a simple response, no ranting in that..

I thought you were talking about the rants at the time with the fullbacks lol. Sorry. Im glancing at posts at work.
We conceded goals galore with Garner in central midfield at home. I'd prefer him in midfield and go recruit a proper orthodox right back. But garner and branthwaite in that united game was fine by me. I thought Moyes was spot on for that particular game.

Hmmm..... I'm sure another Everton Manager used to do this. I wonder who that could be?

Was about to say, we went to 2 of those with Martinez didn't we? Qatar and somewhere else in the UAE, IIRC, in consecutive years.

But it is funny to think that someone believes Moyes bombs out of cups on purpose so he can have 3 days in a sunny country.
