2025/26 David Moyes

No worries mate.

You’ve already admitted your agenda, so it’s pointless carrying this on.

But I think any sound minded blue would’ve snapped your hand off to be sitting 8th at this point in the season given what we’ve been served up in recent seasons personally.
It must be exhausting to maintain so much hatred over such a long period. Especially in respect of a guy who saved us as a club and gave us back our self respect in our first spell and saved us again in his second. It's verging on pathological and can't be indicative of a healthy life.

Moyes is doing a Steller job.

he wastes money
his football is awful
he nearly always leaves his subs to late
he rarely gives young players a chance
he can't win at home
What more do you want.
He kept us up with ease last year and has us in 8th this year (everything else is just noise). He has won 5 games at home this year which is entirely consistent with our home form in recent years but our away form is absolutely elite.

If the league wasn't full of inconsistent rubbish I'd agree 8th would be very impressive but let's be honest even the teams at the top are hardly playing earth shattering high standard football so it has to be seen in that context
The league is very competitive from top to bottom for once. The English clubs are doing well in Europe which isn't indicative of a week league.

I’m sensing a preemptive attach by the anti Everton winning clique. A gamble but I’m applauding the initiative.
Any minute now they'll be claiming they have strong intelligence that Moyes has plans to plays Harrison Armstrong as a winger all next season and to sign two more centre backs in the next window to ensure we can field at least four in every match next season and using that as a pre-text to justify a pre-emptive strike.

But he's not doing a "stellar" job. He's doing pretty well, at best, right now in the league - but he has done a terrible job in the cups. Did he do a stellar job in the transfer window? No.

I have gone on record here saying he deserves another year if he makes Europe. That would be a job very well done. Less than that? I'd like to see a change. The club has to move on at some point.
I hope this policy of Europe or sack extends to every other future replacement.

Somehow I doubt it will.

Im afraid this narrative has been scientifically disproven in an article from the acclaimed Journal of Applied Football Neuroscience - see the Everton Loyalty Equivalence Hypothesis.
