2025/26 David Moyes

Au contraire mon frère, I’ve merely suggested that there’s a certain section on here who like to throw around suggestions of mental health issues at people who disagree with them. A wholly distasteful modus operandi imho.

I have simply pointed out this sub group must see themselves as amateur psychologists given their self appointed right to (miss) diagnose or attribute a serious condition to strangers on a football forum for simply having a contrasting opinion to themselves.

It’s actually a trait recognised in The Journal of Applied Football Neuroscience, however as you seem to be struggling to understand what I’m posting without sub-consciously projecting your own thoughts onto me, i doubt you would find it a worthwhile read.

Nothing to do with “disagreeing” actually, as you are the only person I suspect of having such issues. Because the way you go about things is extremely off, your obsession with the manager is leading you to get unreasonably angry when the team you allegedly support WINS a game. Nobody else on here displays that trait, even the ones that don’t like Moyes or don’t rate him or whatever. Your style appears to be far more concerning, your agenda comes across as purely personal and nothing to do with the performance of the manager in his job. Unless you know Moyes personally and he has done something specific to warrant that hatred then I find that disturbing. It’s not as if he’s failing at his job is it, so you can’t even point to that reasoning like people could with managers before him. And I would merely suggest that if you feel so strongly about him to the point where you’re sat there wanting us to lose games of football, maybe it’s affecting you much deeper than it should be and you should switch off from Everton altogether until he’s gone.

We expected to be way past Moyes at this point, I think that's really the issue.... Bit like West Ham.
My Daughters fella is a hammer, all I was hearing was Moyes out, Dinosaur manager, negative tactics. I pointed out that he had won them a trophy, Nope... Moyes out !!
He leaves, Does well.... Again he's now wanted back there. We tried countless other options, No need for me to name em all but we end up going backwards to Moyes, Yet here we are with a possibility of Europe. After the last few years of being the prem Joke, I am more than happy to let this fella try to get it. If we fall down like under Ancelotti, So be it...

If we manage to grab a place in Europe, Moyes deserves another year for me, It would be mad not to.
That’s a really bold statement

We haven't put together a complete 90 minutes and we're 8th. That's not luck. That's a good team. That's a well drilled defence. That's good, if somewhat annoying, tactics. That an efficient team

You deserve a win if you score more goals. That's it. All other metrics don't matter.

You talk like a team needs 70% possession, Xg of whatever, most shots, more corners, more key passes etc etc etc blah blah bullshit ea sports stats, to deserve a win.

None of it matters. Just winning.

A good team is one that can win while not playing well. Ever heard that one?
Yes Leon Osman and Stephon Warnock broadcast a ton of our games so I’ve heard every possible cliche dozens of times.

However I think the idea is that good teams also win when they’re not playing well not that they only win that way. And you’re right, we do have parts of this team that work well, but attacking and creating chances is important and we don’t do that nearly well enough so at best we’re a deeply flawed and incomplete team.

Ahhhh there it is again. The cranks default.

Where’s your receipts for this? Don’t limit it to my posts, show my something, ANYTHING from a poster on here that indicates satisfaction when Everton lose.

I wouldn’t even know where to start to be honest, I could spend all day on here multi quoting posts from you fuming after a win and being much calmer, almost gleeful after defeats. It’s bizarre that you’re trying to pretend it isn’t all out there.

You would think that a win tonight is important if we have any chance of a European spot. It's difficult to see us getting anything at Arsenal after this and Chelsea will also be a really tough game.

I didn't think a European place would be achievable this season before a ball was kicked, but with 10 games to go (and the likelihood that European qualification will go down to 8th place), it's possible. We'll probably need 15ish points from here to get that and for nobody else in that pack we are in to go on a great run. Still think it'll be a touch beyond us, but if we have any chance then we have got to be winning the home games against Burnley and Sunderland and then work out where the other 9ish points are going to come from.

I'll probably resign myself to Europe not happening if it's any other result than a win tonight.

It will take you lot longer than that.
You know why?

BECAUSE YOU ARE IMAGINING IT.
