How much longer?…

Jesus, he got 31 points in 19 games last season with a worse team. He’s spent £120 million so far and you want him to crack on if he gets 50 points this season!
How many points do you think this squad should get this season considering our best defender missed the first half of the season and some of our other best players have missed large chunks of the season too (including our most effective attacker who is now out for the rest of the season)?

£120m is nothing nowadays, it will take another £300m-£400m at least to make a squad that’s capable of doing anything serious.

We’re not going to do anything serious but let’s have it right, going 3 months without winning at home is crap and people are going to be annoyed. Coming on telling fans they aren’t being patient enough when there’s basically 2 generations who’ve seen more last day escapes than trophies and most season ticket holders can’t actually remember the last time they saw us win is a bit of a stupid thing to do.

Laughable really, the guy is going backwards. I think with £120million spent you should be aiming to replicate what you got over half a season.

The Branthwaite piece I can see, but that goes to the bit about structuring the team differently. As for Garner I’m not sure how his playing midfield fixes a ball getting bombed 70 yards over our heads. We controlled the game against a good team and were awful in the final third. That’s basically every game with Garner too at best, and we’ve also been torn up with him in the center.
Because I don't think he would have been where Gana was, and if he where Iroebugnum was, he would have challenged Sesko for pace (Tim did a bit of jogging there as well). We played for a tie except for about 30 seconds when the goal occurred, we didn't control the match. We had two shot attempts in the first half.

So we got caught out because one of our CBs was too high up and you think that the CM would have been better positioned?

Also no, he would not have matched Sesko for pace.

Considering we’re coming from multiple seasons of relegation battles and nearly going out of business last season, the fans need to be patient though, there’s no getting away from that. Anyone who thinks there’s a quick route to the CL and trophies just by getting a new manager in is deluded.

Similar spend this summer on 2 proper fbs and an upgrade on Beto completely change this team.
+ Barry settled and Armstrong fully integrated .
Moyes is 100% the right man
- some of our fans will always love to hear and watch themselves cry.

Since beating Forest on 6th December, we’ve had 6 home games. We’ve won none, lost 4 and drawn 2. That’s included a run of games against Leeds, Wolves, Bournemouth and Brentford. Plus we’ve been dumped out of the FA cup at home to Sunderland. By the time we play Burnley it will be just short of 3 months since we won a home game.

Gana out of position fluffing his cross.
Tim nowhere to be seen.

We has this debate before the lineup was announced, you got what you wanted with the midfield and Garner Rb..

Chew it up and own it...

Anyone who thinks a couple of years of patience gets us the CL is deluded too. We only get there if we have massive backing or a freak season, if you think hosting the magic weekend and a Fiji international is going to be our ticket to the big time then I’ve got some magic beans to sell you. None of that means we should be happy with us not winning any of our last 7 home games though, obviously.
