I can't speak for everyone on here who are detracting from Moyes. I personally was against hiring him and wet my pants about it a little bit. It was an overreaction on my part. You can't really have asked for anything more than the job he's done so far and if he leaves us in a similar position to the one he had us in when he left us after his first tenure, then I'm sure we'll all be delighted. He does have some faults, but they're totally irrelevant for the position we're in right now. If they do become relevant again, it will be because he's significantly improved us. He's done a very good job and stabilised us at a difficult time.

I just don't like him very much though so won't be joining in the deification of him that some are doing. I think that's a bit OTT.

Its not an exaggeration, for me anyway, to say from Aug to jan this season under Dyche was as bad as ive ever seen Everton. And i was in the ground for the wimb and Gareth Farrelly games. Dyche was worse. He was managing this club like we were Burnley. I couldnt take him anymore. Make no mistake we were in big trouble. We were fully relying on others being more dross than our dross.
Moyes hasnt just come in and saved the club. He's made us look half decent. The lack of quality is for all to see still. And you're right he isnt perfect but the bizare thing i found in january to the reluctance was who else was going to take the job that was available. Or more to the point wasnt available.
We got lucky he was not in a job. Really lucky. This could have all gone very pear shaped for Everton.

So by that logic the only very good manager is Pep. I think that needs a rethink. Thomas Frank and Unie Emery are very good managers in my mind but not exactly replete with trophies.
Emery has won the Europa league 4 times!

Agree with that you are saying though. Context is important and where the manager has managed etc.

Some of the lengths people go to discredit Moyes in here and try to make him seem like an average manager are ridiculous.

Lies about him getting to spend money and bring in players in in January (when it was 1 singular player).
Suggesting a home draw to Arsenal is an average result. You know, the Arsenal team that have only lost twice away from home all season and just beat Real Madrid 3 nil.

We would be sixth in the table if it was just since Moyes came in. And that’s with this supposedly relegation standard team.

Honestly, people need to get some realism.

I didn't realise our form had been that good in comparison to others... the recent run of draws has brought us back down to earth a bit after wins in quick succession. He's been here a third of the season as well, so it's a more than long enough time frame to suggest it's much more than 'new manager bounce'.
