They give De Rossi a 3 year contract and sacked him after 3 months of it. The fans were furious about it.

They brought in Ivan Juric and sacked him after 12 games.

Moyes is just a stop gap.
Why did they sack these managers?

Could it be due to very bad results?

Nobody knows how long Moyes will be here, so I've no idea why people are guessing.

The average PL manager lasts 18months in the job, IMO, Moyes will lead us into BM, with Patto.

I will he honest I didn't want Moyes to start with. Not sure who I wanted because tbh there wasn't much choice.

We were in a hole and it's clear Dyche wasn't working..

Moyes has done well so far. And if he keeps us up it's job done...will he be here long term? Probably medium term. We are not in a position to take a chance on a young manager. That's why Moyes was sadly a good choice right now.

Time will tell.

They originally wanted to get to the summer with Dyche then bring a new manager in. I'm 99% sure that Moyes would not have been that manager they went for in the summer.

Just like Ranieri is currently a stop gap for Roma and will be replaced in the summer. Moyes will be the same unless he does fantastic.

I think he`ll steady things for that young manager when we can take that chance. Scot Parker has Burnley very solid at the back, maybe with a bit of experience behind him he might step up and be that manager.

I disagree, but we can wait for the Summer to find out.

I was making an observation which I think is right. He isn't as intense.

As long as we get the points to stay up that isn't a problem...for this season. But I dont want a manager who has no drive and ambition to push this club on.

Imagine how incongruous that'd be having a manager like that when we're going into a state of the art new stadium. One is undermining the effect of the other.

Iraola or someone like that would be fitting for us. I actually think he'll be on any short list in the summer if/when Moyes steps aside.
It’s a bit silly to judge a manager on how animated they are on the touchline as to how ambitious they are.

Come on Dave, that’s the mentality of those over the park

Yes you might be right. We might be able to take a chance on a younger manager.

He has got Burnley playing OK.. but I remember him at Fulham and he was pretty terrible.. but that job could have been to early for him.

Sacking Moyes would mean wasting a huge chunk of the transfer budget and if he carries on like he’s started, why would we want to replace him?

Correct, if he carries on like he has started he will stay.

But if he doesn't he will be gone in a flash.

It is a 2.5 half year contract but we don't know the T&C's and what clauses they have in it.

I think he’ll stay unless we go down. There will probably be some sort of relegation clause in it but if he keeps us up which was the main reason we got him, he’ll get a chance to rebuild the squad and lead us into the new stadium.

Having the chance of being the last Everton manager at Goodison Park and the first at Bramley Moore is the main reason he came back I think.
