Ive got a mate who works in Sunderland Wetherspoons and he said three hours ago some Irish guy came in and asked him to hide a cyclists helmet.
He asked him what he was doing in sunderland and he said 'shhhhhighn sundelnsdmoyshe'

And my mate said 'oh right youre darron gibson arent you? thought you were banned from all our pubs though'

Could be BS but just passing on what i've been told.

Probably BS mate.

If it was in a Nandos, I'd believe you...

So if he does go to Sunderland, that would make their former Everton contingent Rodwell, Vic, Pienaar, Gibson and Lescott with Jags possibly also still incoming?

That's going to massively divide the dressing room isn't it? I bet all the Everton lads will form a clique
And Oviedo?

Think that lot have got more chance of dividing the treatment room mate.;)

I want Gibson gone as much as the next man, but his issues have never been about his ability

When Moyes was here, Gibson was pretty much excellent for about 18 months

It's only since Moyes left, Martinez came in and brought McCarthy and Barry with him, that Gibson became a 2nd choice player. At that point it went all downhill for him. He got injured a lot (as happened at United when he wasn't playing) and the rumours about his liking for a pint got more and more frequent, culminating in that drink-driving incident.

If someone gets Gibson fit and motivated, they have a really good midfielder - he's 10 times the player Rodwell has ever been, for example. The catch is that nobody other than Moyes in Gibson's career has had him consistently fit and motivated. Could be a good fit, worth a gamble on their part, but realistically it was bonkers of us to give him that new contract last summer.

Two more complete shitters culled from the squad.
