I think the charges in this case reflect that the injuries were very minor and it could have been a lot worse for them both.

The way traffic laws are worded are incredibly vague. The person who hit my friend was charged with failure to stop, same as Gibson has been charged with. He got 6 months, despite the fact that the person he failed to stop for died and more time for the drugs he had on him.

Gibson hasn't done that according to reports and I've definitely got a knee-jerk reaction. I hope that he gets the help he needs if he was drunk and I hope I'm proved wrong by the fuller details of the case. But, on the information we've got, I can't condone his actions
