if anyone was watching the u20 world cup they would have been impressed. i thought he was a great player. a great signing if it happens.
 
I suppose at that kind of price it would be worth at least a 1 year contract to see how it goes.
 

can't believe it is only 25k. does not sound right to me. especially with all those clubs interested in him.

cahill or arteta? erm... more skill than cahill and more goals than arteta.

what does that make him? pele? lol!

honestly i'd liken him to fernandez with a bit more strength.

Heck, for that price he's worth a shot. We have shown interest in him before and since he is young he might need some time to settle in and develop. But if we can purchase youngsters for up to £1M, why not spend this ridiculous amount on a player? What do he have to loose?

Sign him up on a 3-year contract and if it doesn't work we can always lend him out to lower league teams or sell him on.. without too much a loss.
 

yeah the goals look just like our tim.

but i was refering to his all round game. skillfull finding the right pass. he can find the net as you can see.. but from the 5 games i saw of the us he has more raw skill than cahill.

wonder if any yankees have an opinion about him..?
 
Just watch the youtube clips and I must say there are some pretty good talent in that U20 team. Impressed with their hard running and direct style of play which is very similar to ours. Adu seems good enough, the lad wearing number 15, Zizzo, is quite impressive as well. They won't have much difficulties settling in England.
But to be realistic, they are playing against a very weak and amatuer defense where the backline almost fail to exist on many occasions.
 
that u.s team were on fire this summer. if we brought a couple over to england i'd be delighted.

america will be a strong team in 10 years. and the style they play looks very entertaining. america........strong footy team. i'm old school.. but it does not sound right!
