I met him in about 1986. My last year of junior school. The school had organised a sponsored run for a charity Dai was involved with and he came down and spent the whole day with us kids, I still have a photo of us together somewhere, I was only 11 at the time but I remember him being a really lovely fella who had time for everybody.
