I'm happy for Barnsley. He was by far their best player on the field and this is a great signing for them.

He hasn't contributed anything unfortunately. I hope we manage to bring in someone in midfield because Pienaar, Cahill and Osman all have knocks, not to mention Graveson.

I read somewhere (OS?) that we never disclose fees first off as a matter of policy, it always comes out from the other club and then we comment if necessary (if they are telling porkies).

Letting Da Silva go didn't necessarily mean we were going to bring someone else in for him. Da Silva very rarely featured for the first team so probably was considered expendable.

Hopefully we got a nice fee for him.
