3 possible scenarios for me.

1. The alien is using salbutamol as a masking agent, and sky realised he was glowing in the vuelta and thought this was the easiest way out.

2. Sky got their recovery cocktails wrong the night after Contador went kamikazee.

3. Seeing he was struggling sky have him a blood bag but didn't realise the Kenyan had been puffing away in the South African mountains.

Or we could just celebrate this medical marvel who has recovered from barzyllia, typhoid, malaria, aids and hepatitis q and NOW asthma. Strange he made no mention of asthma in his book....

I'm going option 1

As it is, given that he made quite a big play about entering the Giro despite knowing this was going on, I wouldn't be at all surprised if the evidence they've provided isn't a reasonably robust explanation for the value from the test. And that's the key thing here, because Wada themselves admit that at this stage there is neither guilt or innocence, it is a call for more evidence so that a decision can be made. Of course, that doesn't apply to kangaroo courts.

That article is talking about how much is inhaled over 24 hours. Surely it doesn't all stay in that long, so at any point you wouldn't expect to have that much in your system still, or am I misunderstanding it?

I suppose that's largely the point of Wada's process, that they admit there are numerous things that impact the readings.
