Fair enough most people are pleased he’s out, I’m not saying he’s good enough, I’m just saying he put in more effort than his more talented colleagues last season.

Two hands up to push a man who doesn’t even have possession of the ball when you do have the ball is a foul. Doesn’t matter whether it’s the BT and sky sports sponsored Egyptian king or Duncan Ferguson doing it. That was a foul. Martina did an ok job on him the rest of that game.

but that's absolutely nothing to measure him on either, I mean you could have put gerrard carragher and fowler in our team last season and they would have give it more of a go then some of the squad

and it wasn't a foul, he went down like a bag of turd, if it was further up the pitch it's ok but in that position it was sloppy and stupid

I expect it isn't anything bad or malicious. The manager wants a squad of players that he can mould into the team that he wants. There isn't much point including players he doesn't intend using and the group was already too large .

Another one of Koeman's abysmal signings. He was that good that Southampton let his contract expire and go for free. Then we throw him a 3 year contract and pay him god knows how much and play him all over the park due to our abysmal transfer window last summer. Nowhere near a premiership quality player. Remnants of a very embarrassing period that will soon be cleaned up thankfully.

The two aren't mutually exclusive though. He was terrible, probably the worst player in the worst Everton team since Moyes joined if not the PL era. But he did put effort in, unlike some of the squad, such as Schneiderlin. I'll be glad to see him gone though.
