Judging by the game time each have had, it's possible that Connolly is ahead of him in both full-back slots. Holgate would probably be ahead of him at RB too, if he's not first choice at centre back.

New coach new staff equals re-appraisal of all the players. This was inevitable at the start of a clear the decks season and a 2 to 3 year project to stabilise the club. They won't rely on past editions of the Echo or this forum to assess existing players. They need to see and judge for themselves, hopefully quickly. People on here will be talking us up to challenging for 4th and 5th before long, and then moaning why we are not doing it. . Strap yourselves in for the long haul.

By the end he was getting assists from crosses with his wrong foot. Some of the rest of the team were struggling to make a 2 yard pass. He clearly wasn’t the root of our problems. I’m not saying he was a good player, but I think he actually did his best (limited as that is) whereas others were nowhere near it.
