Yep. Those two in the middle have been poor together for a while now. O'Brien has to start there. Put Garner in at RB.
….i just don’t get putting your best defensive midfielder at RB, the lad has just got in the England squad.

"A team not wanting to lose" is Moyes' bread and butter, doesnt react well when we go behind or take the lead...its just not in his DNA. He draws up his game plan on his Etchasketch on Thursday night and thats it until he shakes it clean on Sunday night.I thought we conceded the space in midfield.2nd half, Sat deep allowing them to dictate. then ended up hanging on. We played like a team not wanting to lose instead of a team who needed a win. Tarique George should have been on earlier. I would have kept Beto on too. I thought he was our best player
Lost me? Compare what to previous seasons?
Weve brought in players the manager doesnt use.
Weve got a manager who only wants to play the same 11.
Were a negative team with a cowardlike mindset.
Moyes last season set us up to play quick and direct. Its now boring and mostly ineffective.
Weve taken a big step back from his play last to this season while spending £150mil for no player development
tried for tete, got kyboshed last second. was the first signing he tried. For a manager that developed Baines and Coleman, it’s pretty shocking how he has navigated this issue
He has shown what he can do at CM - just put him at RB for the last three games (two now) try yo win both and see where we are.….i just don’t get putting your best defensive midfielder at RB, the lad has just got in the England squad.
You know @Eggs you are as unsure as David. But if he moves the chess pieces around it gets better -
Bring Jake back into CB, Garner into RB, Tim and KDH as the middle two, Dibling into RM, Rohl behind Beto.
Surely that's better than what he is doing.
Keane starting
Jake at RB
McNeil starting
Barry starting
Gana starting.
Jake CB, Garner RB, Tim and KDH as the middle two, Dibling into RM, Rohl behind Beto.
Younger, stronger, quicker, more energy.
say what you want about the misses, for me it was the back line that bottled it today. We have one of the biggest defenses in the league and we can’t deal with a corner kick or compact the box. Scoring two away should be enough to win.
One win from our last seven games. Take this form into next season, and we'll be in a relegation battle by Christmas.
