Crime And Illegal Stuff Etc.


Can someone explain how The Guardian can with good conscience describe the individuals in an alleged rape gang as all from Bristol when 5 of the the 7 are foreign nationals?
It's quite simple. I have lived in Perth for 29 years, only 3 of them as an Australian citizen.
So for 26 years I could have been correctly described as either from Perth, or a foreign national. But I think "from Perth" would be more apt asn"foreign national" gives the impression that I don't live here.

But why does it bother you which term they use?
