Do what they want, how they want, when they want.
Something needs to change, no one country should be able to dictate the whole game the world over.
This makes sense. Especially as no Test at Old Trafford next year.
Lancs cricket will miss lots of revenue from this cancellation.
I've just looked and it may not be possible though. There are only 4 days between the last India match and the first South Africa match.
There is way too much cricket. The only gap is before June or during the 3 week hundred break in early August.
There's no window to play the game with England's packed schedule, offered to play it to avoid a forefit no doubt

Only if they overlap a test match with a white ball series. Far from ideal. Although England have a lot better chance of getting back to 2-2 with Stokes and Archer in the side next year!
We need far less international cricket. Just like we need far less international football.
Fewer test series, but none of under 3 matches is the way forward. I think it's also come to the time when they should cut international ODI cricket from the schedule and make it only the world cup format to protect it's prestige. Test series, T20 series, and a 50 over world cup, and possibly a champions trophy for 50 overs is all that is needed.
