Settled down a bit now and batting sensibly. Taking singles and chipping away at the score and putting away the bad ball on the boundary

Job done, great batting display, especially from Stokes and Bairstow, but it was good to see that we also looked to play some drives and singles, keeping the scoreboard ticking over and decreasing the risk of getting out cheaply and that set us up to go for it with the boundaries. That spell from Stokes and Bairstow where we got 80 something runs off 5 overs was just impressive
Brilliant chase that. When you need over 330 you need two guys to get big scores and they did. Over 6 overs left is a massive margin of victory as well.
Malan and Livingstone played it smart at the end too. If one of them had got out cheaply then there would have been huge pressure on Mo and the lower order.

I see Lancs have signed Jackson Bird as their 2nd overseas player for the county championship - Vilas is the other. Probably Richard Gleeson's back injury persuaded them to sign another quickie.
They've also signed a young New Zealander, Finn Allen, to play in the T20. Never heard of him but apparently he's 21 and was top scorer in NZ's domestic T20 with 512 runs at a mind-boggling strike rate of 194.

Just watched the highlights. Stokes went to 50 off his 40th ball. Then made 49 off his next 12 deliveries. 24.5 an over lol
Still can't believe that they didn't get over the line on Tuesday.
Wonderful wonderful innings from both Stokes and Bairstow. Still can't believe Bairstow hasn't cracked test cricket with his ability.
Stokes is also insanely good. England just have a world class batting line up. The bowling is ok, but christ that batting line up is terrifying. At one stage Stokes looked like he was going to hit every ball for 6.
