Levelling the series having had the rough end of conditions and on the receiving end of another scintillating De Kock fifty as well as the all round skills of van der Dussen the batsman/umpire was a notable achievement.

Great bowling from Jordan although Curran holding his nerve with the last ball took some doing.

Moeen the deserved man of the match showed the kind of timing and strokeplay that he's capable of when at the peak of his powers, if only it happened more often.

Two superb games, threw away the first grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory but saw it through today when possibly second favourites with three balls left.

England Lions, playing against an Australia x1, are 367-4. Keaton Jennings in fine form made 143 (batting at 3) and Dom Sibley 103. Zach Crawley made 2.

Another good day for the Lions, after having won the 1-day series 3-0, with two rained off. Hundreds here for Sibley, Jennings and Dan Lawrence.

In truth England should be winning these games as so far they've met mainly inexperienced opposition. This Aussie team has only 2 experienced players: an out of form Sam Whiteman opening, dropped from his state side, and Jake Lehmann as captain, who was so poor in his stint at Lancs that they decided to go without an overseas player until Maxwell returned. One interesting name in their team was Lloyd Pope, a promising young leg spinner who England last saw in the 2018 U19 World Cup when he took 8 - 32. This time his figures were 19 - 0 - 100 -0.

Good to see James Bracey in the Lions team and it will be interesting to see how Richard Gleeson bowls.

I think jordan has really shown his skill set in this format, and morgan has been able to get a good look at a few others

Yeah, I've always been a big fan of Jordan, I view him as a big moment player, that can be with ball, bat and fielding. But he's never been consistent enough. I don't think he's ever lived up to his true potential and that's why he's never had an extended run in either formats. He would have been a world cup winner if he was more consistent as I don't see how he can't have translated his skills to the 50 over game, but he's definitely useful for the world cup T20 squad.

Why didn't he stick with t. Curran? Bowled a good over. This is great hitting, but really poor bowling, just all in the slot, need to mix it up with slower balls, shortish, yorkers etc
