Visited about 25 years ago and had a great time in Derry, Armagh, Belfast, Giant’s Causeway. Would love to make it back at some point.

Worst hamburger of my life up there. Made out of horse meat
coastal or mane-land?

Genuine question to all the lingual experts on here : How similar is Irish Gaelic to Scottish Gaelic? Can they understand each other?

Loads of Scousers here, sadly mostly Kopites.

I wouldn’t recommend Belfast myself but probably because I’m too used to it. What did you like about it?
I found it raw and authentic, was also impressed by how accessible beautiful countryside is when you are in the city, even a ferry trip to the scottish highlands is on your doorstep. I think I may have had some rose tinted glasses in that I had been in Dublin the previous week and absolutely hated it, the biggest tourist trap I've ever seen.

Makes sense that. Belfast City Centre is tiny and easy to navigate. It’s finding its feet with tourists now and you definitely know when a cruise ship has docked.

Agree about Dublin. Only an hour from me but now it’s in and out for matches as you can’t afford to drink in the place!

Is this only in the centre or out in the suburbs too? I remember once walking from the docks in to the city centre, and there were a few decent pubs.

The locals later told us that we'd been pretty stupid doing so, as it's rough as fluff on the way.

Haven't been into the south for ages.. old mates complaining like f about the booze prices. My father in law retired out in NI. Silly sod literally crosses the street and he's in the republic but smart enough for NHS and not dicking with his pensions. North area by the causeway is stunning coastline. Derry I'll skip thanks X
