Although I do agree with you on this

IF Branthwaite is sold it’ll be a British record fee for a defenderMmmm. Dunno. Hes literally missed a whole season of football and would cost more than the £50mill City have posted for Grealish.
Anything like that would be two separate deals. Very rarely do you have those player swap deals/cut price transfers. They don't look good on a balance sheet
Matty you do know the vaults are a cruel and unforgiving mistress
Ask Davek about the new stadium that would never be built and the vaults
Be careful what you wish for

Merlin Röhl***
Vitalii Mykolenko
Seamus Coleman
*£50 million buy clause that will certainly not be activated. How much would the club be prepared to spend on a player who turns 31 at the start of the new season on the back of a serious injury?
**Unspecified buy clause amount, which you'd imagine should be around the £20 million mark.
***£18-20 million obligated buy clause must be activated in the summer.
Coleman, it was a miracle he was offered a contract for the season. This is surely the end for his Everton playing days now, though.
Gueye, should not be considered a regular starter next season if retained. Moyes may weigh up if Irougbunam or Röhl can step up to replace him, or if he can use the transfer market to find a long-term replacement.
Mykolenko, one of the overall weaker full backs in the division but would be a decent enough backup. Funds are likely going to be limited, and with him only turning 27 this May, probably expect to see him given a two-year deal.
Keane, probably depends if the club are looking to sell Branthwaite, as Moyes loves Keane. Surely it's time to move on from him though?
I agree that 50m is unrealistic
I’m not sure what his book value is in the summer probably around 20m
I don’t think k wages will be an issue as none of the top six will want him and I’d say he’d be happy here for 2 years on a par with our top earners
speaking of Dibs what, if anything, happens to him in the summer?Oh yeah we'll be in the driving seat for first dibs like. Think Europe gives us another leg up too if we get it
speaking of Dibs what, if anything, happens to him in the summer?
Turnover must have shot up since then with the new groundThe new rules are squad cost ratio, so we can spend 85% of our turnover on wages and transfer fees
The last set of audited accounts our wage bill was 84% of our turnover.
He’s the one I don’t want to lose but yes it’s inevitable we will. In an ideal world get another season out of him, raise his value even more with better players around him, and then take what needs to be a huge profit. He’s a Champions League player for sure.
Do you have a link to that article please chum.
Keane has been excellent...really?….not sure if we have option for another year on Gueye, sensible to take that up and transition Armstrong, Rohl and Iroegbunam in. Keane has also been excellent, no hesitation to extend his deal.
Mykolenko is the interesting one. I’d presume the club would like to tie him down even if the plan is to bring better quality in. There is the possibility that he wants to run his current contract down and move on a Bosman.
The decision on Grealish and George might be entirely dependent on what impact George has. The other imponderable is what players might leave if acceptable offers come in.
