Confirmed: Everton Sign Jordan Pickford

I can honestly say I haven't been as excited about a signing since Kanchelskis.

Southall is my all time Everton hero, I think goalkeepers are just so undervalued it's bloody ridiculous. A keeper winning you an extra 9-12 points is absolutely massive.

He just looks like an Everton player to me. We've had to wait a long time to find someone able to replace Martyn ( I want to add that Howard for the price we paid gave us fantastic service and probably played beyond his ability for far longer than I thought he would) but I think this kid is the real deal.

Every signing after Jordan just feels like a nice bonus to me even though I know we need a lot of quality brought in to compete at the top end.

Everton paying 30m for a top keeper. Absolutely love that me ;)

Its a brilliant signing.

I think a lot of people would have preferred Butland because he's been in the limelight a lot more, however he has only played about 10-15 more games in the premier league than Pickford. Also, Butland has been playing behind a very defensive group of players whilst Pickford has been peppered.

Butland has also had a very serious injury which could hamper his movement and kicking.

Pickford on the other hand has incredible reflexes and has proven himself in every division as well as having distribution which is more akin to a laser guided missile.

I think you just need to look at Courtois, Lloris and De Gea to see how valuable they are to top sides.

If we want to be in the top 4 then this is without doubt a top 4 signing.

The reds really don't like this one. At all.

Be good if we can also get Keane for that very reason, another player they wanted

In other news what a photo

Mate whose a kopite, gutted we got him. He can't believe they are still going with what they've got.
Pickford yesterday showed his class and maturity yesterday. Put all the fuss about his move and price tag behind him, to give an assured performance.

Does anyone else see the Irony of this. Back in 2007 Sunderland paid 9M the most ever heard of for a goalkeeper when they were promoted to the EPL. Craig Gordon, now he was with Sunderland for 5 years but his time there was marred by injuries and poor form, he was released 5 years later without a club.
Now that they are being relegated, they are selling their Keeper for record signing.....
Who says life doesn't travel in circles.
Just a funny thought is all, I hope Pick doesn't end the same.
Just to throw a quirk into this Roy Keen was the manager of Sunderland, aren't we eying Keane as a center back.

May be nothing at all but then again......:pint2:

Got a horrible feeling that are waiting for the fuss to die down and they'll go for VVD again. But do it probably this time.

They might but we have our own team to support and they will have to pay mega money for him when we can develop Keane into a monster defender.

Just glad we have a new keeper, whether he cost 2.5m or £25m. He only people who will moan are the bellends who write for papers and the badly fitted suit wearing tits on Sky or match of the day
