Computer games.

Sprechen sie English?

I thought you were just saying you don't have Xbox live, don't be getting a titty lip over that.

You're jarg South African.

Geographically not in the same region but the similarities are there and you know it.
Culturally more similar to the English actually I'd say.
Not sure at all how it is relevant, nor why you've got your panties in a twist about me saying you not having live on xbox being why you mightn't be enjoying it.

'tribe killing Dutch whiteys' is not acceptable

I don'the even like computer games. Both tribe killing Dutch whiteys that sound funny. On another people's land. I can go one.

It is phenomenal! (I own Martinez a royalty or something for using that word). Has it all, atmosphere, lore, engaging battles, true diversity in the different armies available. Plus the hero/leaders are actually useful, unlike other Total War games where they are just used to inspire.

I have just looked down my steam library. 7 Total War games. Seven.

Empire, Medieval II, Rome, Rome - Alexander, Arena, Shogun 2 and Warhammer!!!!!

Which would you say is the best? Think I picked up one a couple years ago on sale but haven't actually got round to playing it (surprise!), which may have something to do with...

100% worth. I've spent a tenner on games I've played for a couple of hours and £40 on this and I'm at 25 hours or more easily I think already

I picked up Terraria for £5/7 and have put 00's of hours into that. Got a game called Gnomoria for about £2 which has got 100+ hrs in to.

@JAYTALITY's been on fire here :o :D

Honestly the games are similar but all have a few unique differences. I'd say to determine which one you enjoy the most the biggest factor is which period of history you find the most interesting.

My personal favourite was Empire Total War because I liked the Naval aspect and managing the trade routes to become incredibly wealthy. I also really like the Rome series because the ancient history is the most interesting to me and I prefer the more personal battles that you get without having guns involved.

It probably also depends on the balance of whether you're more interested in the strategic management side or the battle management aspects.

Cool thanks. Napoleon is the one that I have. Would that be similar to Empire or is there not much Naval warfare in it? How is the balance between strategic and battle management?

Left 4 Dead just appeared in my ready to install queue. Nice. Will be having a go of that tonight. That's 6 games I've had for free this week. Keep em coming Xbox. It's a nice litttle surprise. Also got Brain Challenge and Portal 2. Got The Crew, Xcom, Limbo and Tekken Tag tournament 2 a few days ago as well. Good week for decent free games.

Napoleon is a spin-off from Empire and uses a lot of similar troops. I never played much Napoleon but I have a friend who was obsessed with it. As far as I recall the campaign follows Napoleon's various European campaigns and there isn't any naval battles, it mostly focuses on the troops that were with Napoleon and is very artillery based.

I don't think there is much strategic management in Napoleon because you're following a pre-set campaign for the most part so things are guided. In Empire it is more sandbox-y so you can conquer the whole world if you want.
