Computer games.

I'm so tempted by it. But really not sure it's for me.

It looks great though. I'm just not into like spells and levelling up and all that crap.

It's more actiony than that. You don't level up much and there's zero grinding. The combat is action oriented and challenging. Magic is minimal, you have signs they're called, like little augments (a shield, spew a bit of fire, jedi mind trick some bandit).

If you like open worlds, brilliant writing and voice acting, great graphics, every mythological creature you can think of... It's just ace.

Narrative far outweighs that element - which I'm not overly fond of myself.

If that fails, you can just adjust the combat so that it's ridiculously simple.

Right. Next time I see it going cheap in eBay I'm bagging it.

You only really level up through doing quests, one problem with games like skyrim is you could do loads of grinding to level up

It's a great move on their part. Removes all the grind and it helps that even the most obscure sidequests are never dull. No fetch quests to be found!

Yeah v clever...I remember spending ages shooting deer on skyrim to level up, became like a job!

It also shows how much content is in this game. No grinding or copy paste missions (what usually pads rpg length) yet I've put 100+ hours in and still not properly explored half of it!

Gwent helps too. I am utterly addicted to it.

I loved that game, but knew lads who would role-play beyond even my levels of geekdom.

We're talking lads who'd "live" in a hut and go out to hunt deer for hours each "day" before going to the tavern in Whiterun.

Seriously.
