Computer games.

Been playing Stellaris since it came out, great game and the opportunities for morally questionable acts / outright genocides have never been greater but it is annoyingly random at the start.

I am pretty sure I can do a suitable impression of the reddit crowd for this:

"GIT GUD!"

I have been on 'Witcher' Blood and Wine and was expecting it to be similar. The main thing I don't know to do is keep the guy centered. I beat the Crystal Lizard thing by letting it roll off the cliff after running away but the big guy is giving me grief.

Maybe I should study this thing.

Changed my tune.

Dying light is actually a good game. Now i have stuck with it, it is actually quite fun. Crafting weapons means weapons now for me are dealing 700 plus damage and the fetch missions aren't repetitive as they put you in situations you need to figure out.

Highly recommend picking it up for the budget price.

Now got to give nba 2k16 a go, first time since arch rivals on the Megadrive

warhammer total war is good but very confusing! had a go at one off battles and lost all of them lol its still really fun but not being turn based its so difficult controlling big armys(i know this is how total war has always been)

how you finding it @Dylan ?

I love it. Almost ashamed to admit I have put over 60 hours into it so far! Got 3 different campaigns going. Having a blast.

If I was you, I would make use of the quicksave feature, and the game speed in the top right corner. Unless you have it on mega suicide hard mode, you can issue orders while paused, which I find to be very handy in the multiple army battles (try controlling 60 units in realtime....its hard!!!). Also, mods are your friend. A must is the 'better camera' mod, which give you better control, and more functionality than the stock camera.

aah good tips, yeah the camera does my head in a bit..

the computer AI is actually very good, the amount of times i have been caught out chasing chariots/horses when thats exactly what they wanted me to do, i never realised a computer could be so sneaky...

Oh, learn grouping as well. It lets you move large portions of the army very quickly. And if you lock the group, they retain their formation after the move.

I am currently playing as Dwarfs, the slow little gits. So no chasing down chariots for me. A nice infantry line, pummel them with artillery and ranged units, then, let their leading attack wave break against my resolute line!!!!

Kick off revival has been put back. Gutted was looking forward to playing a few games on it

OMG Wot! How do I not know about this already?

As it happens I just found out there is still a Quake scene going on, so have downloaded an updated version of the game and some tools, and started making a map again! Woo! :) :)
