Computer games.

Haven't finished Unchartered 4 yet, but should be done with it by today.

Absolutely phenomenal game. The score, the voice acting, the plot, the settings...all sublime. And as for the graphics, this is easily the best use of next-gen tech I've seen so far. At points, you'd be forgiven for thinking you were watching a film.

Many people will think that's quite an exaggerated way to talk about a computer game, but this was an experience. Genuinely loved playing this.

Decided to try my hand at Civilization IV. It is a different game than I thought it would be... No Gandhi or the like.

Anyone got any pro-tips? I messed about for a couple of hours yesterday learning the production and economic systems but would appreciate any pointers anyone can offer.
Democracy in peace, communism in war.

Overwatch is excellent. First online FPS I've enjoyed in about 5 years.

Im still tempted to buy this but the lack of offline modes put me off or no P v E.
Anyway what put me off in the beta was roadhog who was to easy to play and most of my shots would always hit the target no matter what. Found that strange tbf
Are you still having fun with this?

Yeah. You can't expect an FPS with 21 (21!!) completely different characters to be 100% balanced, but they're constantly tweaking it. The thing that throws people is that not all characters are equal. It's more like an expanded rock-paper-scissors and you need to know when to switch it up.

Normally I demand a single player too but this is so popular online you'll never have trouble finding games and it's getting free maps and modes to keep it fresh. The variety of characters keeps you playing mainly though; it will take ages to master even half of them.

I preferred the explanation as to how you came to own an xbox rather than a review of that awful game.

The Xbox was a massive hit underway, especially in our bunkroom, where 6 out of the 9 people staying had an xbox tucked away in their bunk somewhere, and at any time you would have 3-4 people playing multiplayer Halo over a LAN.

I also played the heck out of Morrowind on my Xbox while underway. Start to finish. When I would go on watch for 6 hours, I would remap the pad so walk forward was right on the left stick, and crouch was left on the right stick. I then tied them together so the sticks pointed like this -><- (well, kinda diagonal) left my character in a room sneaking into a corner, with a NPC sleeping. Presto.....maxed out sneak skills to the point I could sneak in the day, right in front of someone and take everything, including clothes.

Put a bit of a stint into minecraft following the 1.9 update - had set it aside so only realised it was out a couple of weeks ago. Big improvement to the game IMHO, combat is a lot harder [although still v rudimentary compared to most games, you now need to think about it a bit]. End cities very boss, Ender dragon harder but still basically a fanny, wither still extremely tough.

Have wanted to play it with our 8yo kid, but he's not keen on PC keyboard games, doesn't have the dexterity. I see it's out this month on the wiiU, though, so will be getting involved with that, should be a lot more playable for the wee man.
