Computer games.

What do you actually do on it? Apart from like...go home.

It's probably a stretch to call it a 'game' - It's more of an exploration/walking simulator with a charming, believable and affecting story - If you've ever played Firewatch, Dear Esther, The Unfinished Swan, Everybodys Gone to the Rapture it will be for you - Otherwise, you might well hate it!

It sounds so very very far away from a game I'd even try! But as its free I will...

....then probs get bored so go shoot some hoops

I know you'll just ignore me completely after saying this and buy it, but... honestly mate, navidson is 100% wrong about that game. It is terrible. The protagonist and story is totally unbelievable (as in you can't take seriously the scenario or their actions), and the whole thing is arthouse nonsense that lasts about an hour or so. You just walk around, pick things up and 'enjoy' a story that wouldn't even qualify as a B movie.

Avoid, honestly.

It's on ps plus next week mate, not even worth a freebie try?

Really?

You honestly think a teenager coming home to that situation would do absolutely anything like in that game? It lost my willing suspension of disbelief about 10 seconds in - you'd call the bloody police!

Ha, I guess - I felt pretty immersed into it from the start so maybe I suspended my disbelief!

Different strokes for different folks I guess - but that's why we love computer games - Sometimes we love games that other people cannot stand

Just fired up Fallout 4 for a session so I'm not all about the slow walking btw :)

If you want to waste an hour of your time, feel free. You'll either feel it's compelling, as some people fall for interactive novels, no matter how bad they are (and this is bad) - or you'll just laugh and shake your head in disbelief that this tripe got 100 scores from the likes of Polygon.

It sounds so far away from my sort of game doesn't it?!

Aye I get that. I mean I watch wrestling, I know how to suspend disbelief.

But honestly, you come home, nobody is there, a note is tacked to the front door warning you not to investigate what happened... sorry, but there's absolutely no way in any reality that what follows from that moment in that 'game' would happen.

It's a game, I get that it doesn't have to follow 'normal rules', but the problem with Gone Home is that you're meant to believe the story and become engrossed as a real fictional interactive novel based in a certain time period - once it makes that error in the beginning, the whole thing collapses, and it never recovers as there's no gameplay in it whatsoever, and in my opinion the story itself (even ignoring that beginning) is absolutely torrid.

Is it is bad as Journey?

What an overhyped bag of turd that was!
